The Canon HG10 is like having your own movie studio in the palm of your hand. It's neat and lightweight and records your high definition movies direct to it's hard disk drive. With up to 15 hours capacity, there’s room for all your family memories.
The HG 10 uses a Canon Full HD CMOS video sensor, complete with advanced noise reduction technology and an RGB Primary Colour Filter ensuring that your video is sharp and free from noise whilst still being vivid in colour. The 10x optical zoom not only lets you get right in there close up to the action, as well as having a Super Range Optical Image Stabilizer, which cuts down on juddering footage from people with unsteady hands.

The HG10’s DIGIC DV II processor has been optimised for the additional processing requirements of HD. The increased resolution of high definition demands a superior focus and the HG10 delivers thanks to Canon’s extremely quick and accurate Instant Auto Focus.

This sophisticated model can also be used as a normal digital still camera and can shoot photos up to a resolution of 3.1 megapixel. It also has a dedicated flash for still photos. A video light function is available for when shooting in dim or dark conditions.

Using the HDMI connection, it’s easy to review your videos on a compatible HD Ready television without loss in quality. Alternatively, simply connect the camcorder to a compatible Pc and transfer your footage ready to edit. A supplied Corel Application Disc provides you with the software you need for assembling your footage into a family movie, and also the filing of your photos on your PC.
